The Type Tool
Add point and paragraph text, format it with the Character and Paragraph panels, and keep it editable.
Adding Text
Choose the Horizontal Type tool (T).
- Point text: click once and type — good for titles and short lines. The line does not wrap.
- Paragraph text: drag a box, then type — the text wraps inside the box. Good for several lines of detail.
Press Ctrl + Enter (or click the tick) to finish. Each piece of text becomes a type layer (marked T), which stays editable — double-click the T thumbnail to select all its text.
The Character Panel
Open Window → Character. Select the text (or the type layer) first, then change:

The Paragraph Panel
Window → Paragraph sets alignment (left, centre, right, justify) and spacing before and after paragraphs. For the poster details, Tharushi uses left alignment to match the title.
Warped Text
Type → Warp Text (or the warp button in the Options bar) bends text into an arc, flag or wave. Use it sparingly — warped text is harder to read.
