Shapes and Decorative Graphics
Draw vector shapes with fill and stroke, add icons, lines and colour bands, and keep decoration consistent with the brand.
The Shape Tools
The Shape tools (U) draw vector shapes that stay sharp at any size: Rectangle (with optional rounded corners), Ellipse, Triangle, Polygon, Line and Custom Shape. Each shape is its own shape layer.
- Choose a shape tool. In the Options bar make sure the mode says Shape (not Path or Pixels).
- Drag on the canvas. Hold Shift for a perfect square or circle.
- Set the Fill and Stroke colours, stroke width and corner radius in the Options bar or Properties panel.
- Double-click the layer thumbnail later to change its colour.
