Building the Poster Step by Step

The complete workflow for the science fair poster, from blank document to final check, bringing every technique together.

The Workflow

Zoom to 100% (Ctrl + 1) and scroll over the whole poster — look for jagged edges, stray pixels, mask gaps. Read every word aloud, including the date, time and website. A spelling mistake on 200 printed posters is expensive. Turn guides off (Ctrl + ;) and view the whole poster (Ctrl + 0) — does it pass the three-second test? Is all text inside the safe area and every background into the bleed ? Print an A4 test copy (Fit to page) and look at it from two metres.
