PowerPoint Integration
Copy slides and embed presentations in Word.
Paste slides into the staff pack
James Okonkwo pastes two slides from NorthgateOpenDay.pptx into the handbook appendix for staff who print one combined pack. Home → Paste → Keep Source Formatting preserves slide design.
Use Paste Special → Microsoft PowerPoint Slide Object to embed — double-click opens PowerPoint for edits.
Link vs embed slides
Link keeps handbook slides synced when marketing updates the deck. Embed stores a snapshot — safer for archived PDFs.
One slide per page: set Layout → Breaks before each slide paste if you need page boundaries for printing.
Hands-on steps
Goal
Embed one open-day slide from PowerPoint into the handbook appendix.
James Okonkwo adds this to NorthgateHandbook.docx as part of one polished student handbook, policy pack, and open-day collateral before families arrive.
