Formatting Reports for Printing
A matching theme, sensible margins, Keep Together to stop awkward page breaks, and page numbers — the small details that make a report look genuinely finished.
Field Notes: The Finishing Touches
Use consistent fonts and alignment, and apply a Theme to match your forms for a cohesive, professional look across the whole database. Use the Page Setup tab, visible in Print Preview, to adjust margins, orientation, and paper size.
Turn on "Keep Together" properties, in the Property Sheet for a group or section, to prevent an awkward page break from splitting a group's records across two separate pages. Add a page number using Insert, then Page Numbers, while the report is open in Design View, choosing a position and format from the dialog box.
