A cube is just a box (cuboid) where all three dimensions are set to the same value.

Try changing only one dimension — the shape stops being a cube the moment the sides are unequal.

Example 1 — a cube with side 4

Find the volume and surface area of a cube with side 4 . 1 Volume: s^{3} = 4^{3} = 64 2 Surface area: 6 s^{2} = 6 \times 16 = 96 Answer: Volume = 64, Surface area = 96

Example 2 — a cube with side 7
