About Us
The Ceylon Leaf Tea Room opened in an old house inside Galle Fort. We serve single-estate teas from the hill country and sweets baked every morning.
Our story
Our founder, Mrs Nadeesha Silva, grew up on a tea estate near Nuwara Eliya. In 2016 she opened a small tea counter with four tables. Visitors loved the fresh tea and home-made kokis, and in 2021 we moved to this larger house on Church Street.
Our vision
To be the place every visitor to Galle remembers for a real cup of Ceylon tea.
Our mission
We brew single-estate teas bought directly from small growers, bake traditional Sri Lankan sweets fresh every morning, and serve every guest with warm, friendly care.
Our values
- Freshness — tea brewed to order and sweets baked each day.
- Fairness — fair prices for growers, staff and guests.
- Hospitality — every guest is welcomed like family.
- Care for Galle — no plastic straws, and we recycle every day.
