Sorting, Filtering, and Finding Data in a Table
Quick, temporary ways to reorder and narrow down a table's rows directly, without building a saved query.
Field Notes: Sort, Filter, Find
Click anywhere inside a column and click the A→Z or Z→A buttons on the Home tab to reorder the datasheet's rows by that column's values — exactly the same idea as sorting in a spreadsheet.
Click the small dropdown arrow in a column's header to check or uncheck specific values to show, or hover over Text Filters (or Number Filters, or Date Filters) for conditions like "Contains" or "Between." Click Toggle Filter on the Home tab to quickly turn the current filter on or off without rebuilding it.
Press Ctrl+F to open the Find dialog box, type what you're searching for, and click Find Next to jump to each matching record in turn.
